Jarod Hightower-Mills is the primary International Services Specialist for international students studying in the School of Medicine, College of Nursing, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the Anschutz Medical Campus and in the College of Architecture & Planning and the College of Engineering, Design & Computing at CU Denver. Prior to joining the ISSS team at CU Denver|Anschutz, he has served as an International Student Advisor at the University of Texas at Austin and the International Technological University. Outside of international student advising, Jarod has worked as a middle and high school French teacher in New York, Massachusetts, and Colorado.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in French from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA; a Master of Education in Secondary Teaching of French from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA; and Master of Arts in International Education Management from the Monterey Institute for International Studies in Monterey, CA. Like many, he is looking forward to travelling internationally to improve his fluency in Spanish and Portuguese and to learn about new and exciting dishes from other cultures.
