Celebrate PAL-O-Ween All October at CU Denver!
Peer Advocate Leaders are hosting fun events all spooky season.
Sep 26, 2025
Are you ready for a spooky (but supportive) time this fall? Be a part of our PAL-O-Ween activities this upcoming October!
What are PALs?
PAL-O-Ween is hosted every year by our Peer Advocate Leader (PAL) program, which is part of our First-Year Experience (FYE) team on campus. The PALs are current CU Denver students who help support our first-year and first-time transfer students during their first semester at CU Denver. PALs offer support via workshops and events to connect students to resources and other peers on campus. PALs meet one-on-one with their students in their FYE classes to provide ongoing support and advice as students navigate their first semester of college. Additionally, PALs attend their FYE classes each week to offer in-class support to students while also advertising ongoing events across the university.
If you aren’t enrolled in an FYE course, but would like to connect to a PAL, please email us at [email protected]! We would love to connect with you!
What is PAL-O-Ween?
PAL-O-Ween is our month of programming throughout October. During this month, you can visit our MyLynx calendar to check out all of our upcoming PAL events. In the past, we have hosted spooky movie study sessions, haunted cookie houses, cinema events, and so many more! If you are in an FYE class, each of these events and workshops will also count towards your FYE class event and workshop requirement, so we strongly encourage you to attend!
Additionally, each year we have a big PAL-O-Ween signature event. This year, we will be showing the first movie in the Twilight series! The event will be held on Oct. 9—stay tuned for more event day and time information by checking MyLynx. If you’re in an FYE class, be sure to tune into your PALs’ Canvas announcements for upcoming information!
The Twilight event will include free giveaways and prizes, so we strongly encourage you to attend! Ask your PAL for more information, and stay tuned for posters and social media announcements! Follow us at @cudenverfye and @cudenverpal for the most up-to-date news and information about events!
We encourage you to continue attending events and workshops across CU Denver. Research has shown that students involved in their campus life are more likely to graduate from their university, whether through a student club, an on-campus job, attending events, or doing undergraduate research. We want you to be as successful as possible at CU Denver, and the FYE and PAL program and here to support you!
Feel free to stop by our office, located in the Learning Commons Building (the building with Einstein’s in it!) on the second floor, suite 2206. We are happy to meet with you and get you more connected at CU Denver!
