CU Denver Fall 2023 Welcome Activities

The fall 2023 semester is around the corner—and there is much to celebrate. We are hosting our annual CU Denver Welcome with signature activities to boost Lynx pride and help you get to know campus and the vibrant city we call home. Whether you’re returning to CU Denver or coming for the first time, we encourage you to participate in our welcome events.

New Student Convocation (Aug. 18)

Just as graduation commemorates the end of a student’s university experience, New Student Convocation marks the beginning of a student’s journey at CU Denver. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the ceremony to show support for our new students.

First Day of Classes (Aug. 21)

The first day of classes is Monday, Aug. 21! Come to campus and help welcome our students back. All of our campus community members are encouraged to wear Lynx attire for the first week of the fall semester.

Block Party (Aug. 24)

Celebrate the first week of classes at our highly anticipated Block Party. Located on Lawrence Street, between Speer Boulevard and 14th Street, the event showcases the endless opportunities that CU Denver has to offer in the heart of downtown Denver. Mingle with peers, pick up some Lynx swag, learn about programs and offerings, and get a feel for your surrounding city. The event is open to all Lynx and community members, so invite your friends!
