Start planning early!

It's important to plan your class schedule early each semester and register as soon as you can. Priority registration appointments (date and time) are issued prior to open registration, based on the number of credits completed so be sure to find your priority registration appointment in your UCDAccess student portal prior to each semester's class registration period.

It's always a good idea to meet with your academic advisor to answer any academic questions and to periodically check in on your degree progress. You can also track your own degree progress by running a degree audit in UCDAcccess, by reviewing your major's undergraduate degree map for suggested course pathways, and by consulting the course catalog to learn more about specific classes and programs. If you are undeclared or thinking about switching majors, explore CU Denver programs and make sure you're taking the right classes each semester. CU Denver also also offers Open Educational Resources (OER), providing free and low-cost learning resources for students.

Textbooks and Open Resources

CU Denver knows that open educational resources (OER) can provide a measurable impact on student success. OER textbooks, or “open textbooks”, mean that an author has chosen to give others permissions to retain, reuse, revise, remix, and redistribute copies of their content. When you search the Tivoli Station website, you will notice OER materials are listed with a web address so that you can easily access them. Tivoli Station also lists an inexpensive “print textbook” option and posts it as “optional” as a convenience when possible.
