Each year, CU Denver undergraduate students are awarded over $30 million in scholarships from institutional, local, state and national sources. Most of these funds are institutional provided through our schools and colleges. Local, state, and national undergraduate sources can be found at My Colorado Journey.
Before applying for any scholarships, you should first fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Filling out the FAFSA won’t cost you anything, and you don’t need to pay someone else to prepare it for you.
It’s also important to know the difference between financial aid and scholarships. Simply
put, scholarships are free money
– money given to you for your education by a higher education institution, state or federal government, or a private company or organization that you don’t have to pay back.
At CU Denver, searching for scholarships has never been easier. We have one tool to support you in searching and applying for scholarships. Our Scholarship Universe Application allows you to apply for scholarships offered by CU Denver and private donors. Both applications identify scholarships that would be the best fit for you.
