The Couple and Family Therapy program prepares relational therapists who value inclusion and prize diversity such that they are prepared to offer a continuum of mental health services across a variety of settings for the benefit of the community and society. Graduates treat mental and emotional disorders, while promoting optimum relational health through a systemic, holistic approach.

2.5 to 3.5 years

Develops the knowledge, leadership skills, and classroom practices that support multilingual learners and their families. Graduates help meet the increasing need for knowledge and skills to design effective practices to serve the number of children who speak and learn in multiple languages. Courses are offered synchronously and asynchronously.

Prepares educators to become advocates for multilingual learners in school districts by exploring the opportunities and challenges among Latinx students. Graduates help meet the need for leadership in Colorado and nationwide as the Latinx population grows and the achievement gap for students widens. Courses are offered synchronously and asynchronously.

2 to 3 years

Designed for both ASPIRE alumni and PK-12 teachers who did not complete the program to earn an MA in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in critical pedagogy. Graduates collaborate effectively at all levels-with other teachers and learning specialists, parents, students, administrators, counselors, and community members-to facilitate the success of all students.

1 to 2 years

Prepares educators to work in inclusive and diverse early learning environments with young children (infancy through age eight). Graduates gain practices that embrace the whole child in culturally and linguistically diverse public school or community-based early childhood education settings, emphasizing family-centered practices. It is offered in on-campus, hybrid, or fully online formats. This MA does not lead to a license or endorsement.

2 to 3 years

Includes a one-year paid teaching residency, a Colorado teaching license, large center director qualifications, and a trip to study in Reggio Emilia, Italy, all at a reduced tuition rate through a partnership between CU Denver and the Boulder Journey School. There is also a pathway for those already in a Colorado ECE position.

14 months

Prepares early childhood educators to become specialists in special education to meet the unique educational needs of young children with and without developmental disabilities. This pathway leads to becoming a classroom teacher or a specialist supporting classroom teachers.

2 to 3 years

Prepares individuals who wish to support early childhood special education teachers or teach young children (infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary) with developmental disabilities, while partnering with their families and communities. This program is offered in on-campus, hybrid, or fully online formats.

3 to 4 years

A new online MA in Early Childhood Education to study innovation for children birth to age 8, at Boulder Journey School, inspired by the schools for young children in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Study quality multi-media examples of learning and teaching, engage in collaborative examination of documentation, and develop interpretations and new practices to innovate the field of Early Childhood Education.

Provides students with quantitative and applied economic skills that enhance their future employment opportunities in the private and public sectors, or their pursuit of PhD studies in economics or related fields. The program includes substantial exposure to econometrics and forecasting, working with large and diverse data sets, and a wide range of statistical software.

Allows students to combine the quantitative skills of an economics degree with the practical applications of a business degree. Graduates become highly skilled research professionals with considerable econometric skill and familiarity with their chosen financial institutions.

Offers a strong foundation in primary knowledge areas as students learn to publish their research, evaluate the work of others, and present their scholarship at professional conferences. Graduates are prepared for a wide range of careers-in secondary and higher education, grant writing, English language instruction, corporate writing, and technical writing.
