The Quicker and Easier Password Reset
Jun 6, 2017We are proud to announce that a new mobile password reset option went live on February 24th, 2017. This option can be found at ucdenver.edu/forgotpassword.
During last year’s administrative prioritization process, OIT received feedback that when a user forgot their password, the reset process was cumbersome and often required a call to the OIT Help Desk. Our Identity Management team has since revamped the password reset process by creating a new text message based option for users to reset their passwords. In order to take advantage of the new text message password reset option, users need to have a current cell phone number listed in HCM (faculty/staff) or CU-SIS (students). If you prefer the old way to reset your password, users will still have the option to reset passwords by answering challenge questions.
This is just the beginning of improvements to come that we hope will make a big impact to better serve you. In OIT, our number one priority is to provide great service. In order to continually improve our level of service, we rely on you –students, staff and faculty –to let us know how we are doing.
