Website Technology Resources and Outage Notifications
Oct 12, 2021OIT continually works to safeguard the university’s technology infrastructure and improve our service delivery process. Service impacting interruptions can occur campuswide and is something that many of us have experienced. Stay up to date on regularly scheduled system maintenance as well as unplanned outage notifications by bookmarking the OIT webpage for easy access to information.
Not sure if you need assistance from the service desk team or the issue is a campuswide issue? Emergency technology outage updates are posted on the OIT webpage under System Status as they occur. A yellow or red battery will indicate that there is a service issue OIT teams are working to resolve. This is the best mechanism to learn about any large-scale potential issues affecting one or both campuses. In addition, there may be other options or “workarounds” that will be included in the System Status section if there are actions that can be taken to access university resources while service is being restored.
Underneath the System Status battery on our website, click on the View system alerts button to access a downloadable pdf of the planned maintenance work. This section is updated following the bi-weekly change advisory board meetings, giving you advance notice of any potential interruption of service that may affect your work.
