Imagine sittin’ on the dock of the bay (or somewhere other than your ole’ office), but not wastin’ time! Did you know that with Office 365 (O365), you can work anywhere? Office 365 is a suite of products offering many of the tools you use daily – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneDrive – on all your devices.

Faculty, staff and students can take advantage of the university’s O365 license to increase productivity at the office and at home. You can download many of the tools on your personal computing device to streamline how you work (and maybe make work even a little more fun) to get the most value out of each minute of your workday. Why do you want to take advantage of O365’s tools and applications? Providing you with the technology to create a positive, collaborative and secure workplace culture within your department is important to the OIT team. The web-based O365 suite lets you leverage productivity, collaboration and multimedia tools to develop the best cloud-space for how your team works and to securely connect from any of your devices, wherever you are. You can:

• Open your email on the go
• Enjoy the flexibility of accessing and sharing your files using OneDrive
• Chat with your team member and reference the conversation in context later
• Schedule a Zoom video conference
• Update your projects from any device conveniently

Use your university credentials to get the most current version of Office 365. Instructions are available on the OIT website in the Software navigation tab. Keep an eye on OIT’s newsletters for more information about how you can be more effective using O365.

The university has a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Microsoft for HIPAA compliance meaning their commitment to security, compliance, privacy and transparency has been vetted and approved. You can store even the most sensitive documents with peace of mind using OneDrive.
