New OIT Resources for Working Remotely
Sep 23, 2020In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz has worked diligently to pivot working, teaching and learning processes to keep our people safe, while supporting campus needs. Central HR released an interim Alternate Work Arrangement Policy, both campuses have been keeping communication going through the CU Anschutz and CU Denver COVID-19 websites and dashboards, and OIT has made available resources for working, learning and teaching remotely to make your lives less hectic.
With our university’s policy of all staff who can work from home to continue to do so, OIT has negotiated discounted laptop bundles with strategic partner Dell and has created a recommended work-from-home equipment package from Apple at educational pricing. The guide on how to purchase these bundles is on the OIT Technical Requirements webpage.
We have also updated our working remotely resources to better serve you. The revised Working Remotely website now includes all of the information needed to be successful at home, including technical resources to stay connected, technology selection, internet access, taking office equipment home, and best practices and considerations for working from home.
The following are additional guides OIT created to help you work more effectively from home. These will be updated as new information is made available and new guides are currently under development, such as effectively using Zoom.
As always, the OIT Service Desk is here to assist with technology questions about working from home. Your department’s IT team partners closely with OIT and is available to assist, as well.
