About Us

Who Are We?

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA) provides CU Denver | Anschutz students the opportunity to connect with the research and creative mission of the University. Our Education through Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (EURēCA!) programs facilitate collaboration between students and faculty to incorporate inquiry, design, investigation, and discovery into learning experiences outside of the classroom.

By approaching student-centered services from an advising model, our goal is to enhance the undergraduate experience; helping students connect to their scholarly identity and develop the skills needed for success at CU Denver and beyond. Our vision is to nurture a vibrant, inclusive research and creative community where all CU Denver undergraduates are afforded the opportunity to engage in mentored learning experiences.

Whether students are just starting off in their research and creative explorations or are already driving their own projects, URCA is here to offer support and guidance to CU Denver undergrads and their mentors. We provide funding for student research jobs, fellowships, and grants; host workshops and community discussions; provide 1:1 undergraduate research advising, and feature student projects at the annual Research and Creative Activities Symposium (RaCAS).
