Unpaid Internship Support Scholarship
As a point of access, the Experiential Learning Center hopes to make completing an unpaid internship more possible for students through the Unpaid Internship Support Scholarship. It is available each semester; fall, spring, and summer.
Award Packages
Students can apply for up to $4,500, depending on the number of hours they’re expected to complete at their internship during the semester.
Application
The scholarship application opens for each cycle prior to the start of the semester and closes on Census Date. Students will be notified within two weeks of the application closing date.
Internship Restrictions:
- No internships on CU Denver or Anschutz campuses. No research projects or work under any department at either campus. (contact the Office of Undergraduate Research for funding opportunities).
- SEHD, graduate CAP programs, and certain graduate programs within CLAS are ineligible.
- Host organizations cannot be owned or run by a member of the intern’s immediate family.
- The internship must be completed through ONE employer and must be supervised by someone at the site. Supervisor MAY NOT be a family member.
