About
CU Denver Homecoming is a weeklong celebration of Lynx pride, connection, and belonging that brings students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends together on campus. Through shared experiences, programs, and celebrations, Homecoming creates opportunities to reconnect with our university community, celebrate what makes CU Denver special, and strengthen the relationships that make our campus feel like home. It is a time to come together, build memories, and celebrate what it means to be a Lynx. Once a Lynx, Always a Lynx.
Events
Homecoming festivities bring students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members together to celebrate CU Denver and generate campus spirit and pride. Make new memories and reunite with the people and places that made your CU experience special at our events below.
Lynx Day of Service: Paws for a Cause!
Make an impact during Homecoming Week at the 2026 Lynx Day of Service, CU Denver’s biggest and most engaging day of service yet.
More than a traditional volunteer event, the Lynx Day of Service is a service-carnival experience that brings the CU Denver community together through action, connection, and meaningful community engagement. Participants can choose from more than 10 interactive on-campus service stations or volunteer with local community partners at select off-campus locations.
Throughout the day, you can assemble service kits, contribute to community-driven projects, connect with local organizations, and participate in hands-on activities designed to create an immediate impact. Participants can also earn “Milo Bucks” by completing service activities and use them to receive prizes and incentives.
Some off-campus service opportunities have limited capacity and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If a location reaches capacity, participants may select from the remaining available service options.
Join fellow Lynx, make a difference in the Denver community, and be part of a growing CU Denver tradition.

CU Denver Takeover at Elitch Gardens
Get ready for a day of roller coasters and family fun! We invite you to join us for CU Denver takeover at Elitch Gardens. Tickets will be valid for the full day, and from 6 - 8 p.m., the park is closed for Lynx enjoyment only. Each ticket is $10/piece and can be bought in person at the CU Denver Student Wellness Center (1355 12th St). There is no limit! We can't wait to ride with you!

Kick off Homecoming Week with the Black and Gold Takeover on MyLynx! As the heart of the CU Denver student experience, MyLynx is your one-stop hub for discovering events, connecting with campus organizations, and staying involved in everything happening across campus. Homecoming is the perfect time to explore all that MyLynx has to offer. Browse Homecoming events, RSVP to activities, earn engagement points, and find opportunities to build community with fellow Lynx. Whether you're attending your first Homecoming or continuing a favorite tradition, MyLynx helps you make the most of your CU Denver experience. College is better if you don’t do it alone. Join our weekly Study Jam Session, your go-to spot for a weekly reset with quiet focus, helpful support, and a space for getting things done. Same place, same time, every week. Just bring yourself, and maybe a friend or two. No pressure, no stress, just progress. Students can drop in, stay awhile, and see what a difference a good study session can make.

A Slice of Homecoming: Black & Gold Celebration
Kick off CU Denver Homecoming with **A Slice of Homecoming: Black & Gold Celebration!** This casual, come-and-go event is the perfect way to start the week and show your Lynx pride.
Stop by to pick up your official Homecoming T-shirt while supplies last, enjoy cake and punch during our Homecoming cake-cutting celebration, play outdoor games, listen to music, and connect with fellow Lynx. Be sure to capture the moment with a Homecoming photo by the Lynx statue!
Whether you stay for a few minutes or hang out for the entire event, come dressed in black and gold and help us celebrate the start of CU Denver Homecoming.

Milo's Groceries Bingo
Get ready to yell “BINGO!” at Milo’s Groceries Bingo, a Homecoming event where every prize helps you stock your space.
Join us for multiple rounds of bingo and the chance to win groceries, snacks, paper products, toiletries, household essentials, and items for your residence hall or apartment. Whether you need to restock your pantry, refresh your bathroom supplies, or pick up a few everyday necessities, there will be plenty of practical prizes up for grabs.

Supergirl: Homecoming Movie Marathon
Join us throughout the day for the Supergirl: Homecoming Movie Marathon, a family-friendly Homecoming event open to CU Denver students, faculty, staff, and their families.
Choose from three showings at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. The daytime screenings will feature popcorn, light snacks, and drinks while supplies last.
Then, join us at 6:30 p.m. for the Fork n’ Film Finale, an enhanced movie-night experience featuring dinner, popcorn, snacks, drinks, and an opportunity to relax and enjoy the final showing with the CU Denver community.

Laura Bates: Author of The New Age of Sexism (Keynote and book signing)
Join us to hear best-selling author, keynote speaker, and founder of the Everyday Sexism Project, Laura Bates, discuss how artificial intelligence (A.I.) is transforming the way folks experience sexism and interpersonal violence. She will be siting research from her book The New Age of Sexism: How the A.I. Revolution is Reinventing Misogyny to discuss these impacts and how students, faculty, staff, and leadership on Auraria campus can take action to support survivors and hold folks who use A.I. to inflict violence accountable.

CLAS Jeopardy
Put your knowledge to the test at a **Students vs. Faculty Jeopardy Challenge**, an interactive competition bringing together students and faculty from across the college for an afternoon of trivia, friendly competition, and community.
Teams will go head-to-head in a Jeopardy-style game featuring questions from a variety of academic areas, including arts and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, mathematics, natural and physical sciences, cultural diversity, international perspectives, and more. Students and faculty will have question tracks designed for their respective experience levels, keeping the competition fun and engaging for everyone.
Faculty competitors may also face bonus questions that test how well they know CU Denver, campus resources, and the student experience beyond the classroom.
Come cheer on your favorite team, test your own knowledge from the audience, and see who earns the ultimate bragging rights: **students or faculty**. Lunch will be provided while supplies last.
Whether you’re competing or watching from the sidelines, this event is an opportunity to connect across disciplines, celebrate learning, and enjoy a little friendly Homecoming competition.

Celebrate Homecoming at CU Denver Beach: Homecoming Edition! Join Student Life, First-Year Experiences, and the College of Arts and Media on the North Classroom front lawn for a relaxing afternoon filled with free snacks, music, yard games, and plenty of space to lounge.
