Denver Campus Award Criteria 2026

In spring 2026 CU Denver selected award winners for Excellence in Teaching (IRC, Tenured/Tenure-Track, and Lecturer), Leadership and Service (IRC and Tenured/Tenure-Track), Research/Creative Work (IRC and Tenured/Tenure-Track), Librarianship, and Faculty Inclusive Excellence.

For the Excellence in Teaching, Leadership and Service, and Research/Creative Work awards, the schools and colleges and library selected winners, who became the nominees for the campus-level awards.  Committees comprised of the winners (school-, college- and library-level, as well as campus-level) from the past two years selected the campus-level winners for Teaching (IRC and Tenured/Tenure-Track), Leadership and Service (IRC and Tenured/Tenure-Track), and Research/Creative Work (IRC and Tenured/Tenure-Track).

The winner of the Award for Teaching by a Lecturer was selected by a committee of faculty members on the IRC Roadmap Committee.

The winner of the Faculty Inclusive Excellence Award was selected by a selection committee with broad campus representation.

The winner of the Librarianship Award was selected by the Auraria Library faculty.

Nominations for the 2027 awards will be due in the Office of Faculty Affairs in February 2027 and award winners will be announced in April.

Information on eligibility, criteria, and procedures/documentation will be available in fall 2026.
