CU Anschutz Faculty Awards

CU Anschutz has two campus-level teaching awards given annually to faculty members in each school and college and the programs in Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, and Anesthesiologist Assistant; the award winners are selected by the students in the respective schools/college/program.

  1. The President’s Excellence in Teaching Award winners are chosen by the graduating classes in the School of Dental Medicine, School of Medicine, College of Nursing, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences,  Colorado School of Public Health, Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program, Physical Therapy Program, and Anesthesiologist Assistant Program.  This recognition includes a glass award and a one-time case award of $500 added to the recipient's salary.

  2. Chancellor’s Teaching Recognition Award nominees are named by the student governance groups. A committee comprised of a student representative, a faculty representative, and an administrator in each school/college, as well as the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program, Physical Therapy Program, and Anesthesiologist Assistant Program, selects the winner. The selection of an award winner in the Graduate School is coordinated by the Graduate School Dean's Office.  This recognition includes a glass award and a one-time case award of $1,000 added to the recipient's salary.

The winners of both awards receive a one-time cash award, a glass sculpture, and are recognized at the Commencement ceremony each May or December.
