CU Denver Faculty Awards

The University of Colorado Denver selects annual awards for Excellence in Teaching, Leadership & Service, Research and Creative Work, Librarianship, and Faculty Mentoring. The schools and colleges select school- and college-level winners, who become the nominees for the campus-level awards. Committees comprised of the winners (school- and college-level, as well as campus-level) from the past two years select the campus-level winner in each category.

The winner of the Excellence in Librarianship Award is selected by the faculty in the Auraria Library.

The winner of the Excellence in Faculty Mentoring is selected by the Center for Faculty Development and Advancement.

Recognition

The campus-level winners are recognized at the Commencement ceremonies in May and December, and plaques for each of them are added to the Faculty Awards Gallery in the North Classroom Building.

All winners receive one-time cash awards and are recognized and honored at the Celebration of Faculty Excellence.

University of Colorado Denver Association of Lecturers and Instructors

An award for excellence in support of non-tenure-track faculty members was instituted during the 2009-10 academic year on the downtown campus. Eligibility criteria and procedures were developed by UCDALI (University of Colorado Denver Association of Lecturers and Instructors).
