Robert Bauer, Assistive Technology Coordinator

Since July 2022, Robert has served as the Assistive Technology Coordinator. He manages the assistive technology computer lab, located in our suite, and oversees our virtual computer lab support services. He provides assistive technology assessments and connects students with technology-related accommodations including books in digital format or enlarged print, captioning of video content, and conversion of all academic content to an accessible format, note taking software, text-to-speech and speech-to-text, and all other available supports. 

Robert is also a member of the Auraria Library Accessibility Committee, providing support and training to library staff and patrons on accessibility and disability-related issues. Robert has a Nursing Degree from St. Petersburg College, has a background in emergency medicine as an R.N. and EMT, and has worked in the Assistive Technology field for almost 10 years. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, hiking, working out, and playing games of various types.
