The University of Colorado Denver has partnered with Symplicity to provide university students and faculty a streamlined and modernized accommodation request process with a fully ADA-compliant interface that allows for the submission of any and all accommodation requests. The interface is called Accommodate and is currently being utilized by students and faculty at CU Boulder, CU Colorado Springs and more than 1,300 higher education institutions.
For returning/current students who have previously received accommodations and need to login to the Accommodate portal to request accommodation letters or complete another task.
Each semester, students who have been approved for accommodations, must submit a semester request for accommodations in the Accommodate portal. The requests will process within one business day and electronic letters will be available for students to sign digitally. Once the student signs the letter, it will be sent to their professors electronically through Accommodate. We recommend students request accommodation letters within one week before the semester starts.
Once letters are sent to faculty, we recommend the student set up a meeting to discuss their accommodations with each faculty member.
When a student's semester requests are processed and their letters have been digitally signed, the student will then be able to use the Accommodate system to request accommodations such as testing accommodations, peer note-taking requests and alternative format textbook requests.
