Ryan Davis
Interim Executive Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration
Ryan Davis joined CU Denver on Jan.1, 2026, as interim executive vice chancellor for finance and administration. Ryan oversees CU Denver’s overarching campus budget and administrative operations. The units in his portfolio are finance and budget, human resources, technology strategy and innovation, facilities planning and construction, and emergency management.
Ryan also works closely with partners at the University of Colorado system, CU Anschutz, Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC), and the other institutions on the Auraria Campus to oversee the allocation and provision of shared resources and services that support students and employees.
Ryan splits his duties with CU Anschutz, where he is the associate vice chancellor of budget, planning, and campus strategy and deputy CFO.
Before joining CU Anschutz in 2016, Ryan served as the director of budget at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Prior, he served as the finance manager for strategic financial planning and analysis at SCL Health (now Intermountain Health) in Broomfield, Colo. He has extensive experience in the health care, higher education, and financial services industries and has more than 25 years of financial management experience.
Ryan obtained his bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business and received his MBA from Regis University. In his free time, Ryan, a Colorado native, enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and traveling, skiing, golfing, and hiking.
