Dear colleagues,

I am happy to report that last week, the University of Colorado Board of Regents approved the preliminary budget for the CU system. As I shared with you before the meeting, we are well positioned for the 2025-26 fiscal year, but we have a few more steps before us. The Colorado legislature will review the budget and approve the long bill before the end of session. The governor will then review and sign the final budget with any changes. The budget then comes back to the Board of Regents for ratification in June. I’ll update you when we have a final budget.

I also want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that we have one more Financial Foresight session before the end of the semester. The virtual session is scheduled for this afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. You can join the session using this Zoom link. As a reminder, these meetings are meant to generate innovative ideas around our budget. I hope to see you there.
