The CFDA provides programs, resources, and services that support faculty as they work toward rank advancement; grow as leaders in their departments, communities and fields; and thrive as members of the University community. The CFDA provides grants for faculty professional development opportunities, several mentoring programs, tenure and promotion support, a library of successful dossier models, dossier building support, professional development programs, and communities of practice.

Op Eds and Public Scholarship, part 2

Have you ever wondered how to begin your career as a public scholar? In this second part of a two-workshop series, Dr. Edelina Burciaga (Assistant Professor, Sociology) and Rachel Sturtz (ORDE) will teach you the basics of writing Op Ed pieces that appeal to the public and the media. You will work on building skills for translating your scholarship into quality writing for the layperson.
The first session in this series is on October 14th; you may attend one or both.
