Many of us think of mentoring as a relationship between an expert and a novice. In this discussion, I'll invite you to rethink mentoring using a tool developed by the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity called the Mentoring Map. We'll talk about the different mentoring needs that faculty have, and the various ways in which senior faculty can help mentees build a network of mentors to fill those different needs.
