By the time you apply for promotion to full professor, you’ve made your fair share of dossiers. That process will be deeply familiar to you. However, at this stage of your career, the story you tell about the impact of your work may be very different from the stories you’ve told before. This session will discuss ways to make your best case for promoting you to full professor rank. This session is designed with tenured associate professors on the Denver Campus in mind. However, all are welcome to participate in this workshop. The session will include plenty of time for discussion. Session goals:
• Learn best practices for telling your story through your dossier statements.
• Discuss the selection of evidence for each section of your dossier.
• Explore best practices for faculty who have devoted significant amounts of time to administration or major projects.
• Discuss strategies for selecting your external reviewers.
Facilitator: Karen Sobel. Panel: Andres Lema-Hincapie, Robert Metcalf, Callie Rennison.
