The CFDA provides programs, resources, and services that support faculty as they work toward rank advancement; grow as leaders in their departments, communities and fields; and thrive as members of the University community. The CFDA provides grants for faculty professional development opportunities, several mentoring programs, tenure and promotion support, a library of successful dossier models, dossier building support, professional development programs, and communities of practice.

We often find ourselves inspired by characters that live in the realms of the books we read, the movies we watch, the games we play, and by the people around us. Yoda put it simply, “Help you I will” join colleagues in a conversation about issues that are on your mind. Representative topics include:
- Difficult conversations: Professional isolation; Jump-starting my teaching; Feeling burdened by service
- Planning for independent scholarship/research
- Aligning department expectations with my academic goals.
