Job Description:
As a Study Abroad Student Ambassador in the Office of Global Education (OGE), Astrid supports students interested in studying abroad through peer advising, outreach, program promotion, and administrative support. She helps increase awareness of global education opportunities at CU Denver and connects students with resources to help them explore and pursue international experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Providing peer advising to students interested in study abroad programs
- Supporting students with program exploration, applications, scholarships, financial aid, and other study abroad resources
- Responding to student questions and connecting students with appropriate campus resources
- Supporting OGE outreach through classroom visits, tabling, campus events, and other recruitment activities
- Collaborating with other Study Abroad Ambassadors and OGE staff on events and student engagement
- Assisting with study abroad programming, including the CU Denver Study Abroad Fair
- Supporting administrative tasks and program coordination within the Office of Global Education
- Promoting study abroad opportunities and helping students feel confident navigating the study abroad process

Favorite Travel Memory:
One of Astrid's favorite travel memories is studying abroad in South Korea, where she had the opportunity to explore Seoul, Busan, Gyeongju, and Jeju while learning about Korean culture and history. One of the highlights was experiencing a temple stay at Haeinsa and staying in traditional hanok houses.
