Supporting diverse goals and pathways to success
The Division of Strategic Enrollment and Student Success is a dedicated team of faculty, staff, and students who provide impactful programs and services. Altogether, we leverage a broad range and depth of academic and student affairs expertise to provide exemplary support. We partner with external entities and collaborate with academic and administrative units across the university to foster an unparalleled student experience from admission to graduation.
We meet each student where they are and treat them as a whole person imbued with diverse experiences, perspectives and assets. We recognize that students pursue education with learning outcomes in mind. Therefore, we are both student- and learner-centered. Collectively, we foster and facilitate our students’ development, growth and success—inside and outside of the classroom.
We aim for our students and alumni to choose CU Denver as their “university for life.” Thus, core division values are equity, access, affordability, flexibility and attainment.
Monique is an enrollment and student success strategist who brings 30 years of strong and varied experience attracting and supporting diverse student populations. Additionally, she brings a student-centered and equity-advancing approach to recruiting, retaining, and graduating diverse student and learner populations. In this new role, Monique will collaborate with members of the CU Denver community to imagine, develop, and drive the optimal student experience from pre-enrollment through graduation.

The Student Enrollment Operations and Compliance areas are Centered on Every Student. We are dedicated to providing a streamlined student experience that is exceptional in service, provides access, and removes barriers so that students can focus on their academics and their other responsibilities. I was a first-generation college student and my experience was transformational. Providing an exceptional experience for our students that affords them a similar opportunity for life transformation, is why I love leading this team and doing what we do.

Knowing that education changes lives, families and communities drives my passion for student success. My goal is to create a holistic and equitable wellness experience for all CU Denver students. I’d like to see CU Denver become a Healthy Campus where students are informed about healthy habits, have access to health education and experiences, and know they can ask for help if they’re struggling with their well-being.
