Humans of Global Education

The Freeman-ASIA scholarship aids undergraduates with financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. Awards support increasing U.S. student exposure to Asian cultures and languages. Deadlines typically fall in February.

Eligibility:

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Currently receiving or demonstrating need-based financial aid
• Minimum GPA of 2.8, pursuing a first associate’s or bachelor’s degree
• Must apply through home campus with one term of enrollment remaining upon return
• Programs must be at least 8–12 weeks long, credit-bearing, and in specified Asian countries
• Little or no prior experience in the host country
