Sitefinity Release Notes: September 3, 2025
Jozianne Mestas | Office of Information Technology Sep 3, 2025Dear university web community members,
We’re pleased to share the latest updates and improvements to our shared content management system, Sitefinity. These changes support our ongoing efforts to enhance site functionality, accessibility, and user experience.
Strategic Project Updates
- Our maintenance update to include the transition to Sitefinity Cloud hosting has been scheduled. The timeline has been shared with university web site owners/content managers via email and specifies details on the editing freeze request within that timeline.
- This maintenance upgrade aligns with our broader IT modernization objectives—minimizing infrastructure footprint, strengthening security posture, and responsive user experience. Content editing performance is also expected to improve as part of the move.
- Please see the related email or submit questions to [email protected] .
Enhancements to existing functionality
- As part of CU Anschutz rebranding efforts we will be updating the global header on the Anschutz campus templates to say 'CU Anschutz' instead of 'CU Anschutz Medical Campus'. Verbiage in the quick links dropdown will also be updated to reflect this new name for all templates. The CU Anschutz site's footer will also be updated.
- Enhanced Card: Users will have the ability to select images from any image library available within the site.
Web Accessibility
- Web Site accessibility reviews
- Numerous web site accessibility reviews for various departments are underway and scheduled.
You can find release notes on AtWeb web site. If you have questions about these updates or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our teams at [email protected].
Thank you,
