We are pleased to share the following updates for our January 29, 2025 Sitefinity release:
Enhancements to Current Functionality
Sitefinity Version: Upgraded to version 14.4.8144.
Video Thumbnail Quality Improvement: Thumbnails for videos have been improved, particularly for custom high-resolution thumbnail images.
Enterprise Search: The ‘Content’ selection no longer shows “Academic Programs” and “Web Bio” content types as filter options on the left-hand side, due to low usage and to improve usability.
Accessibility Improvements
Call-to-Action Buttons (CTA's): Removed an overflow:hidden CSS property that caused issues to be flagged in Siteimprove reports.
Search & Filter and Tools & Services: Re-implemented focus outline for the "toggle to list" and "toggle to card" buttons.
Noteworthy Bug Fixes
Web Bio: Fixed missing fields in the tab section of several web bio views.
Anchor Navigation: Removed an animation from anchor navigation links to improve transitions between active links.
Page URLs: Nonexistent pages now return a 404 error instead of showing the parent page content.
Controller Error Message: Corrected a typo in the "Exception occurred in the controller..." error message displayed when a widget fails to load.
