Katie Linder

Katie Linder, PhD, serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Innovation and Strategy and Interim Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment and Student Success. In this role, she focuses on the connectivity between strategy, budget, and metrics to help achieve the institutional strategic plan and increase accountability for institution-wide projects and academic innovations. Her role also focuses on helping CU Denver become a hybrid campus and university for life, while enhancing the university’s ability to meet society’s most pressing educational needs.

Katie was previously CU Denver’s associate vice chancellor for Digital Strategy and Learning, and, before that, she served as associate dean for Kansas State University’s Global Campus and directed the award-winning Ecampus Research Unit at Oregon State University. In 2020, she earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the Project Management Institute, and, in 2022, she became a certified change practioner through Prosci, a global leader in change management. She is also a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation.

Katie earned her BA in English Literature from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, and her MA and PhD in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the Ohio State University.
