The Center for Inclusive Design & Engineering and
The Colorado Dept. of Health Care Policy and Financing are pleased to introduce:

SURVIVING IN PLACE

EMERGENCY PLANNING AND PREPAREDNESS PROGRAMS

Program Overview

The Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) has recognized the importance of developing emergency preparedness and response plans for current and new Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) providers that assists them in continuing to provide direct support to their members in the event of an emergency. In collaboration with The Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering (CIDE), we are developing Trainings for these providers to assist in the development of these plans and to assist their members in developing individual plans. Along with member individual emergency plan development trainings, CIDE is also developing and distributing Emergency Go Kits and Battery Backup Power Systems to members utilizing medical life-sustaining equipment that will assist them in having the necessary information and equipment to be better prepared for potential emergencies and disasters.
