Locating funding for assistive technology (AT) has always been one of the biggest challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, their families, and service providers. Funding resources are fragmented across private insurance, government programs, nonprofits, and private foundations—each with its own eligibility criteria, application processes, and types of devices covered. Finding appropriate funding may take hours of searching multiple websites and programs, only to be unsure of next steps. Even knowing where to start can be a challenge.
CIDE’s newly redesigned AT Funding Sources site—focused on ease of use and accessibility—offers Coloradans one-stop access to information on over 2,500 local, state, and national agencies and organizations that support funding for assistive technology devices and services. The site is tailored for searching locally in Colorado and includes national resources as well.
Visitors can reach AT Funding Sources directly from our home page (ucdenver.edu/cide) or at www.coloradoatfunding.org. We trust you will find the site easy to use and that this tool will aid in your search for AT funding.
Solutions in the new website:
- Smart Search: Type in your situation (e.g., “wheelchair for child with cerebral palsy in Denver”) and see relevant funding options.
- Flexible filters: Sort by county, age, disability, area of need, device category, or type of assistance.
- Colorado-specific results: Highlights funding options available locally, not just national programs.
- Streamlined design: Cleaner layout and navigation to reduce frustration and save time.
The result is a new AT Funding Sources tool that makes it faster and easier for Coloradans to connect with funding support for the devices and services they need.
