As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly integrated into the way we work, communicate, and solve problems, we recognized an opportunity to help CU Denver staff better understand and engage with these emerging technologies. Many employees were eager to learn more about AI and its potential applications but wanted trusted resources and practical learning opportunities to build their skills and confidence.
In response, the AI Policy, Technology, and Integration Initiative was launched through the Office of Information Technology (OIT). The initiative is dedicated to providing training, resources, and support that empower staff to explore AI tools, develop practical skills, and make informed decisions about AI use in their work.
By fostering AI literacy and encouraging responsible exploration of AI technologies, we aim to create a culture of continuous learning and innovation across the university. Our goal is to help staff feel prepared, confident, and equipped to navigate the evolving role of AI in higher education and the workplace.
Note: The Office of Information Technology does not create official CU Denver policies.
Our team is made up of experienced professionals and talented students from Leadership, Project Management, and our Student Team, all dedicated to making AI work for CU Denver.
Team members bring specialized expertise in AI integration, training, and user support. We leverage diverse skills to design practical resources, answer questions, and guide CU Denver’s community in making the most of Copilot and other AI tools.
We create and maintain clear, useful AI guidelines that align with university technology and security standards.
We show how Copilot can make work easier with tutorials, templates, and tools to help people use AI confidently.
We're building a user-friendly website with guides, tips, and a support request button for easy access to help.
We are building resources, training opportunities, and practical guidance to help CU Denver staff explore and use artificial intelligence (AI) effectively in their work. Your feedback will help us better understand staff interests, identify opportunities for learning, and prioritize future AI initiatives. Whether you have ideas for training topics, resources, workshops, or AI use cases, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we can foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and responsible AI adoption across the university.
