AV Equipment and Support Services Now Available During the Room Reservation ProcessApril Barr Jan 30, 2023
The AV Equipment and Support service is now available to request as a part of a room reservation in the EMS Room Scheduling System Web App.
Why the change? To make event reservations easier! The Customer Service and Support Division, which houses the Scheduling Services Team, has a strategic goal of Developing a Culture of Service Excellence, and this change contributes to a better overall experience for EMS users. We strive to be customer centric by taking feedback from our constituents and using that feedback to make continuous improvements.
Previously, AV services could only be requested as a separate, stand-alone reservation in EMS. Now, AV equipment and support is available in the “Services” portion of the room reservation process:

- All previously submitted AV service requests will remain in EMS and will NOT need to be resubmitted.
- The option to use the separate, stand-alone AV service request template will remain in place for both campuses.
- Lead time remains unchanged. AV requests must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance.
- Some buildings manage their own AV services; there will not be a change to the way these buildings manage event AV needs, and the OIT-provided AV Service will not populate in the room request if not available for a particular building.
