ICB Graduate Fellowship Provides Support

“I think that CU Denver provides many rigorous graduate programs,” said Siyuan (Kelly) Rao, the first winner of the International College Beijing Graduate Fellowship. “The programs are fitting for ICB students who are looking to pursue graduate school.” The scholarship, which was launched eight years ago, provides $5,000 annually to an outstanding ICB student who chooses to pursue graduate studies at the University of Colorado Denver. A wide range of graduate programs are available, including applied mathematics, accounting, finance, risk management, public affairs, communications, economics, business, biostatistics, clinical science, and many other degree programs.
“I really enjoyed my academic life in Denver, both as a student and as a teaching assistant,” said Rao. “My enriched daily life in Denver definitely helped my further success in the workplace.”This year, there were no ICB undergraduates scheduled to graduate yet, so the $5,000 scholarship was split between four former ICB students who are already continuing their graduate studies at CU Denver. Two students are earning their doctorates in public administration and two are earning their masters in communication. Each student will receive $1,250 annually.
