Celebrating Lunar New Year at CU Denver
ICB students gathered on the CU Denver campus to celebrate the Lunar New Year, turning a campus venue into a vibrant hub of tradition and connection. Co-hosted by the Asian Student Association (ASA) and supported by the Office of International Affairs (OIA), this event was a heartfelt reminder that home is never far away—even when studying abroad. The ICB students enthusiastically embraced the Year of the Horse with joy and pride as colorful ethnic dances and lively lion dance performances captivated the crowd. Many ICB students joined the lantern contest, painting intricate designs and sharing stories of their own Lunar New Year traditions from home. Far from their families, this celebration was a another excellent opportunity for ICB-Denver students to experience that Denver is a home away from home, where every tradition is honored and every student belongs.
