March 3, 2022, marked CU Denver’s very first campus-wide day of giving, bringing together the Lynx community for a 24-hour marathon of philanthropy to support the causes closest to our heart at CU Denver.
In 2021, CU Denver’s faculty and staff donated more than $204,000 through the LYNX UP faculty and staff giving campaign. This was a double-digit increase over the previous record-setting year of giving in 2020.
Paragons of philanthropy at CU Denver, Bob Damrauer and his late wife, Lennie, generously established the Chancellor’s Distinguished Lecture Series, the Robert Damrauer Scholarship Fund, and a distinguished lectureship in chemistry.
Dean Emeritus Paul E. Bartlett, who served as dean of the College of Engineering, Design & Computing at CU Denver for 28 years, is remembered for his visionary leadership, advocacy for students and faculty, and impact as a fundraiser and philanthropist.

Patrick Browne ’10, MA ’18 passed away in early March after a long battle with a medical condition (unrelated to COVID-19). To honor his legacy, his family has established a scholarship in his name to support veteran students at CU Denver.
The University of Colorado community lost a valued member with the passing of Lenore (Lennie) Damrauer on November 21, 2020. Lennie and her husband, Bob, have supported more than 35 funds at CU Denver.
This award recognizes achievements by a tenured/tenure-track faculty member in the college who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of knowledge and/or the translation of it to broader impact through research activities.
