The University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus Learning & Development unit is responsible for the design and delivery of professional development programs for all university faculty and staff.  We provide courses on a wide variety of topics including professional development opportunities, interpersonal skills, manager competencies, and targeted topics specific to the University.

Our strategy is to provide professional and leadership development at all levels that is linked directly to supporting the University’s Mission, Vision and Values; as well as, the execution of the strategic priorities related to enhancing and promoting development programs at all career stages.

New Skillsoft Course CU: Total Worker Health® Leadership 101

Overview

Renowned faculty from the Colorado School of Public Health's Center for Health, Work & Environment developed the Total Worker Health® (TWH) Leadership 101 course to help you assess your current leadership strategy and build a framework for evaluating Total Worker Health® (TWH) at your unit, in your organization. This training is asynchronous and can be completed online, at your own pace. At the end of this course, learners will be able to identify:

  • The five practices of TWH leadership and your role in defining organizational culture
  • The business case for TWH
  • What makes a healthy and safe workplace
  • The employee perspective of a healthy and safe workplace
  • Ways to enhance and support your personal wellbeing

Target Audience

This course is recommended for managers/supervisors interested in learning how to become leaders in their organization, who can drive organizational change to achieve Total Worker Health®. Professionals who may benefit from this training include: business owners, executives, senior managers, benefits and HR professionals, occupational health and safety specialists, and public health advocates.
