Sitefinity Release Notes: November 19, 2025
Jozianne Mestas | Office of Information Technology Nov 19, 2025Dear university web community members,
We’re pleased to share the latest updates and improvements to our shared content management system, Sitefinity. These changes support our ongoing efforts to enhance site functionality, accessibility, and user experience.
Strategic Project Updates
- Sitefinity Cloud migration
- Login loop issue: We’re working with Progress to implement a fix that doesn’t require browser adjustments.
- Intermittent performance issues: Our vendor, Progress, has allocated additional resources and upgraded our Azure database tier, which has significantly reduced the frequency of these issues.
- We are conducting discovery work related to migrating all images and media from the Sitefinity database to Azure blob storage. This migration effort is anticipated to reduce the Sitefinity database size by ~50% and improve performance.
- We have successfully transitioned our open lab sign-up process on https://www.ucdenver.edu/atweb to Microsoft Bookings.
- We welcome any feedback about your sign up experience so we may continually evaluate for improvement opportunities: [email protected]
Enhancements to existing functionality
- To assist with the CU Anschutz rebranding efforts, we created a policy in Siteimprove to flag all obsolete mentions of "Medical Campus" on Sitefinity websites.
- The “Search Text” in the Search and Filter content type will now be highlighted in the Description and Title fields (where applicable).
- Users can now filter newsroom articles using all available filter options.
- A new classification, “Research Programs,” has been added to the Web Bios content type.
Web Accessibility
- Numerous web site accessibility reviews for various departments are underway and scheduled.
