The new Colorado accessibility law, HB21-1110, affects university websites and went into effect July 1, 2024. This means that university website owners/content managers must ensure your website content meets the minimum web accessibility standards.

Need to display an important message across domains? The announcements content type is perfect for displaying pertinent information to site visitors across the top of webpages on a single domain, all domains or just a few. Links can also be added to direct site visitors to additional resources.
NOTE: This is a reusable content type widget, which means it is dependent upon content you've first created as a content type from the dashboard menu.
Go to the Content tab at top of the dashboard and select Announcements. If you don't see this option, you will need to be granted permissions to use this feature. If you need access, please submit a request.
Select "Create an announcement" at the top right.
Add a title. Then choose a background color and prefix for the banner. If the prefix options ("Announcement" or "Caution") do not suite your needs, add a custom option. You can also choose if you would like the announcement to be fully expanded when the page loads.
Add a description.
Add a URL for additional information; the link will be labeled "Learn More". Choose the announcement order, if you're displaying more that one announcement.
Choose which domains the announcement should be displayed on.
Publish to immediately display the announcement. You can also save as a draft and schedule publish/unpublish dates.
