'Brand' new signs continue to pop up across campus

New CU logo featured on signage

4/4/2011

The university continues building on the new brand presence with University of Colorado Denver signs now gracing the sides of buildings on Lawrence Street.

The new interlocking university-wide CU logo highlighting our brand has been showing up in some very visible locations with much more ahead for our Denver Campus and Anschutz Medical Campus.

You likely already have noticed the new CU mastheads on our web pages (see top of this page) as well as in email signature blocks.

Two weeks ago, the first branded outdoor pole banners started going up on the Denver Campus along Lawrence Street including the bridge connecting the north and south bound lanes of Speer Boulevard over Cherry Creek. Additional signs can be spotted in the small park-like area just east of Speer adjoining the CU Denver Building at 1250 14th St.

These new signs feature key messages that reflect our mission, vision and values such as:

·  Energizing futures

·  Revolutionizing research

·  Designing breakthroughs

·  Fueling Colorado’s growth

Brand Manager Jeff Exstrum reminds us that branding is much more than a logo. “It is a process,” he says. “So, while the behind-the-scenes work has been in progress for quite awhile, actually putting up public-facing items with our logo and other visual materials always is an evolutionary process.”

In the coming weeks and months, Exstrum says we’ll continue to see even more evidence of our brand and logo in signage on both campuses as well as in printed materials.
