Everlyn Sandoval works as an
Employment Services Manager within the School of Medicine, Department of
Medicine in Medical Oncology on the University of Colorado | Anschutz
Medical Campus with oncology physicians, researchers, lab staff, and students.
She has been a classified employee since 1988, working in the field of higher
education human resources since 1999.
In her time with Medical
Oncology, Everlyn led her division to being recognized as part of the
"Outstanding Employer Award" by partnering with the City and County
of Denver, Division of Workforce Development for participating in hiring youth
into Oncology, from their Youth Services Program.
She has been an active
member of staff council since 2004. In the past, Everlyn has reached out to
minority communities through her diversity work with both the Metro State
Classified Staff Council and the Latino Faculty/Staff Association. She
volunteered for the “Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation”, and worked as a
Career Program Coordinator for Upward Bound. She is also an honorary
alumni member of Adelante Mujer, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to
employment, education, job training, and cultural leadership development of
Latinos of all ages. She is also an alumna of
the Circle of Latina Leadership Forum of Denver.
Everlyn has held
professional memberships in the American Association of University Women (AAUW)
Colorado, (CWAWE) Colorado-Wyoming Association for Women in Education, the
Colorado Career Development Association (CCDA) and CUPA-HR (College University
Professional Association Human Resources).
