Congratulations to Daniel Kerley!
Daniel Kerley is the shining star and winner of the August
2013 Classified Employee of the Month Award.
Daniel is a Physical Science Researcher/Scientist II for the Department of
Environmental Health and Safety on the Anschutz Medical Campus, and has worked
for the University since 1993.
Nancy Hostetler, Safety, Regulatory and Training Specialist
for Facilities Management on the AMC Campus, says of Daniel, “his level of
concern and involvement goes above and beyond the ordinary. The words I use to describe Dan include
conscientious, honest, hardworking, and dedicated. He is a gentleman with integrity and
humor. He exemplifies the meaning of a professional
industrial hygienist. Daniel also served
as a Captain in the United States Army and has also done a tour of duty in
Afghanistan and a tour of duty in Iraq.”
Riad Safadi, Associate Director of the Department of
Environmental Health and Safety states that, “Dan has made a significant impact
on improving the health and safety of researchers, staff, faculty, students,
and visitors to the University of Denver campuses. He has developed and implemented many
significant programs pertaining to Air Quality and general safety. These programs had a positive impact on the
entire campus population. He works
tirelessly to ensure everyone is safe.
As a member of the active reserves, Dan served two tours of duty in Iraq
and Afghanistan. He also volunteers his
time to speak at his daughter and wife’s schools.”
I speak for the University and for all of us in the United
States, when I say thank you for your service both at home and abroad. Congratulations Daniel!
