In recognition of retired Vice Chancellor Dr. Brenda J. Allen’s leadership and contributions to inclusive excellence at CU Denver, the Brenda J. Allen Identity & Inclusion Student Scholarship was established to celebrate leadership, belonging, and community impact.
This $500 scholarship recognizes currently enrolled CU Denver students who help create welcoming and inclusive spaces on campus or in their communities. Leadership can take many forms—formal or informal—and may include mentoring peers, contributing to student organizations, advocating for belonging, or supporting others in meaningful ways.
Students from all majors and backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Students should be prepared to respond to the following prompts:

Describe how you have contributed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment at CU Denver or in your community. In your response, you may include examples of mentoring, serving as a leader on campus, within your family or community, or advocating for systemic change. Leadership can be formal or informal.
