Diane Amdur is the founder and president of Amdur Communications and a member of the CU Denver Change Makers teaching team. Her work reflects an integration of strategic communication, consulting, lifelong learning, and community involvement.

With more than 35 years of experience in public relations, Diane provides senior-level counsel and storytelling support to Colorado-based nonprofit, education, and outdoor organizations — sectors that closely align with her values. Her agency/consultant perspective is shaped by early roles with global firm Golin in Chicago and regional agencies in Denver, followed by nearly two decades leading her own independent PR firm.

Diane’s participation in the Spring 2024 Change Makers cohort brought renewed clarity and insight into her public relations practice and deepened her commitment to guiding others as they navigate their own next chapter. She brings this reflection and curiosity into her work, teaching, volunteering, and other areas, as well.

Beyond her professional work, Diane is interested in purpose-driven living and healthy aging. She earned her yoga teacher certification in her late 50s and is currently pursuing additional training in yoga therapy for seniors. She enjoys exploring urban and mountain trails, experiencing new cultures, and volunteering with service-based travel programs. Diane holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan.
