As a leading expert on the growing trend toward working well into the traditional retirement years, Chris Farrell has interviewed and written extensively about older entrepreneurs. Currently senior economics contributor at both Marketplace and Minnesota Public Radio, he is also a columnist for PBS Next Avenue, Marketwatch, and the Star Tribune. He’s had a long and varied career in journalism, and his articles on the economy, personal finance, and retirement have appeared in Bloomberg Businessweek, The New York Times, Kiplinger’s, among others. He’s published five books including, most recently, Purpose and a Paycheck: Finding Meaning, Money, and Happiness in the Second Half of Life. Following his graduation from Stanford, he spent four years as a merchant seaman working in the engine room of ships.
