Through the ICB program, students may earn a Bachelor of Arts degree with a primary focus (referred to as a “major”) in either economics or communication. Students must also complete the CU Denver core requirements and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) graduation requirements.
Students may complement the major with a secondary focus or “minor” in economics, communication, math, philosophy, public health, or international studies when studying in Beijing. Study in Denver allows for additional minor options.

“This has been an unbelievable opportunity and experience,” said ICB student Siyuan “Kelly” Rao. She completed her final undergraduate studies at CU Denver, continued into graduate studies, and earned a master’s in finance and risk management. Rao also assisted with teaching in the department of economics, and she obtained an experiential learning internship at a Denver water utilities company in the finance department. “This is a great place to study. There are lots of people of people to talk to and learn from.”
