PRONOUNS
Ka Vang is a Colorado native with 15+ years of experience in international development and cross-cultural programming. She studied History at Georgetown University and served in the Peace Corps, where she taught English to college students in western China. She later earned her graduate degree in International Development and Social Change from Clark University and spent more than a decade working across East Africa (South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania), managing U.S. government-funded programs that strengthened local institutions and expanded community engagement.
After returning to Colorado in 2022 from Nairobi, Ka worked with AmeriCorps NCCC, where she oversaw a multi-state portfolio of service-learning projects focused on leadership development and community impact. She’s excited to bring her global and domestic experience to CU Denver | Anschutz and help build a welcoming community for international scholars and their families through meaningful programs and events.
Outside of work, Ka enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and trying new foods.
