- A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
- Six (6) years of related professional experience in photography, social media management, content creation, visual and mixed-media arts, editing, or other related professional experience.
- Optional Substitution: Related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
- Master's or terminal degree in communications, marketing, advertising, graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
- Seven (7) years of related professional experience in photography, social media management, content creation, visual and mixed-media arts, editing, or other related professional experience.
- Related professional experience as director, department supervisor, work leader, or staff authority
- Demonstrated public relations/marketing abilities
- Demonstrated facility with social media and e-communications
- Demonstrated leadership characteristics
- Ability to promote a strong team building culture
- Demonstrated execution of university fiscal and HR policies and procedures
- Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use diplomacy and soft skills in executive level meetings to build consensus on common goals and timelines.
- Ability to prepare and present information effectively, clearly, and concisely
