A final step in the CU Denver Website Consolidation and Redesign project is to update the university’s main design to reflect the new university brand and create a new university homepage. We will follow a research-driven methodology when redesigning the university’s homepage that utilizes all website research conducted in the past two years including the strategic goals each school, college, department, center, etc. identified as part of their website redesign, current website analytics, audience testing and peer analysis. The project includes the following deliverables:
- CU Denver main “Theme”: Produce a visual identity for ucdenver.edu in the form of a “theme” that will be applied to all “top-level” websites. The visual identity must capture the CU Denver brand, appeal to CU Denver’s diverse audiences, and sets the university apart from its peers. To maximize efficiencies, scalability and maintainability the design theme will only include visual elements and not replace existing foundational website elements such as html layouts, base CSS, wireframes, etc. created in the content management system by University Web Services (UWS).
- Homepage Wireframes: Create a wireframe for the ucdenver.edu homepage including an interactive design for a multimedia engangement area. The homepage must serve many diverse audiences and competing needs.
- Homepage and secondary page Design Mockups: Create a visually rendered mockup of the approved homepage wireframes utilizing the abovementioned CU Denver main theme.
